Everyone thinks; no doubt it is human nature. But much of our thinking, left to itself, is biased, distorted, partial, uninformed, or down-right prejudiced. Yet the quality of our life and that of what we produce, make, or build depends precisely on the quality of our thought.
You know, a cultivated critical thinker can do the following-
- raise vital questions and problems, formulating them clearly and precisely;
- gather and assess relevant information, using abstract ideas to interpret it effectively come to well-reasoned conclusions and solutions, testing them against relevant criteria and standards;
- think open-mindedly within alternative systems of thought, recognizing and assessing, as need be, their assumptions, implications, and practical consequences; and
- communicate effectively with others in figuring out solutions to complex problems.
In this 21st century where information is available in every corner of the world. there are no issues to find any problem. problem is that less of critical thinker who knows very well what is biased or nonbiased, what is prejudiced or nonprejudiced.
here you know, also, employers require those job candidates who can evaluate different kinds of situations using their own logical thinking power and offer a better solution. Because you know those persons can be trusted to make any decisions independently, and will not need constant hand-holding. this will be easy when you are a critical thinker.
